Role Summary:

As Fraud and Audit Executive, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of fraud controls at Travel Counsellors. Analysing data to identify trends and insights, you will perform spot-checks on various parts of the business and create exception reports in line with company strategy on the latest fraud trends.

The role involves working independently and as part of a small team. You will be responsible for5 ensuring all reports are run and worked thorough on a weekly and bi-monthly basis, work independently to investigate irregularities and escalate areas of concern toi the Fraud and Audit Analyst recommending areas of improvement.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Implementation of a risk management strategy for Travel Counsellors
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory and industry change
  • Introduce rigorous controls through regular risk assessments identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business and the wider industry
  • Assist in building and instilling risk awareness within the organisation
  • Report risk appropriately to both the board of directors, so they understand the most significant risks together with heads of department to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their parts of the business so they can cascade to all team members to understand their accountability for individual risks
  • Undertake corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders
  • Introduce and ratify Risk Policy
  • Conduct audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors
  • Planning, prioritising workload and ensuring deadlines are achieved
  • Provide leadership support, training, and development opportunities to all team members including personal development plans, and succession planning, whilst ensuring company values are embedded
  • Applying the performance framework to support team member’s development and engage in meaningful performance evaluations.
